What "deactivated" actually means
When a QR code is deactivated (because of a downgrade or expiration), it stops resolving for the people who scan it — but on your end, nothing else changes:
- The QR code remains in your dashboard, clearly marked as inactive.
- All historical scan analytics are preserved.
- The short link (slug) is reserved — no one else can claim it.
- Your destination URL, design, and settings stay exactly as you saved them.
- You can edit, export, or reactivate it at any moment.
